Second time is the charm! We attempted to visit Santa at the Salado Christmas Stroll last Saturday, but he was with his grandkids at Disney World! We made the trip back to Salado tonight, and Avery was so excited! She had asked me almost every morning if it was "the day". She was so disappointed when Santa and Mrs. Claus were not there last week which is rather humerous since just the week prior she had convinced herself he did not exist... so confusing for a questioning 4 year old! I am proud that she does recognize the true meaning of Christmas, and we talk about Jesus more than Santa around the house this time of year. I am happy for Luke and Avery to enjoy the magic of Christmas though!
I had LOW expectations for Luke since he is scared of just about anything these days. We had been talking about Santa and reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" in hopes of getting him ready. I was really proud of Luke. He was nervous, but he did it!
