We really have appreciated all the sweet thoughts and prayers for our family over the past week since Luke broke his arm. Seems like everywhere we go people are asking, "How is Luke feeling?". I have to remind myself he broke his arm last week. Honestly I don't think Luke has felt much pain since he got the splint and now his cast. God is GOOD! He has NOT slowed down and is getting more and more adventurous. At first he really didn't try to use his left arm, but he's over that now. He is now trying to see what all he can do!
After school today we stopped to play at a park Avery has been wanting to visit. I felt like I better take advantage of a "cool" day because this park does not have much shade. Another down side to this park is the lack of a bathroom, and inevitably we need one! Avery just couldn't wait any longer and did not want to leave, so I took her behind some bushes to potty. We were alone at the park, so I figured that would be fine. Luke was playing well and bouncing on one of those rocking horses (well this one is a pig).
When we returned, I was searching everywhere for Luke. And then I found him....
So, the answer to the question, "How is Luke?"- he's great! As for "How is Mom?" - please keep praying!!!

Hey Jen,
I saw your blog on Laura's. So sorry to hear Luke broke his arm, but glad it didn't slow him down. We sure miss Sunday night small group!
Love,
The Speer Fam
